"You
can experience sustained dental health to an exceptional degree.
It is the result of time devoted to individualized learning
and the establishment of ongoing, trusting relationships.
"I
have found that the finest dental care can fail because it was not
preceeded by the development of a healthy oral state - it's like
calling a carpenter when your house is on fire. I've designed my
office to provide the opportunity for the development of your oral
health based upon your individual needs, which includes periodontal
(gum) health as well as restorative care and function(bite in synch
with the jaw joints").
-
Robert P. McBride
In
today's world, "cost" seems to be more spoken of than
"value." We have seen much dentistry performed in the
name of lower cost that has left the person worse
off - even with ideal re-treatment - they paid the price twice and
more than just monetarily. We believe in the value of spending enough
time in the beginning to develop a true understanding of what is
happening from gum (periodontal) health to abnormal tooth wear to
popping jaw joints and head and neck pain, and how it can all relate.
Our learning experience has let us realize that the mouth is an
integral part of the total human being, esthetically, functionally,
and emotionally. We see people who have gum problems or abnormal
tooth wear, even at a very young age who do not realize it. Some
have head and neck pain which is directly related to their "bite."
Our philosophy and environment supports persons becoming aware of
these things so that they have informed choices that can influence
their future health. We know that what you don't know can hurt you
and if you find out too late, there may be a heavier price to pay.
We also know that spending enough time in the beginning avoids wasting
it in the future. So, for us, it's "Quality is a Constant
and Time is a Variable."
It
is unwise to pay too much, but it is worse to pay too little. When
you pay too much, you lose a little money - that is all. When you
pay too little you sometimes lose everything because the thing you
bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do.The
common law of business balance prohibits paying too little and getting
a lot - it cannot be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it
is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that,
you will have enough to pay for something better."
