Phase Contrast Microscopic Biofilm (Plaque) Analysis

Phase contrast microscopic biofilm (plaque) analysis offers the patient a reality as to the amount of bacteria the oral system harbors by actually demonstrating to the patient what’s happening in their mouth “live, on camera.”

pH Testing

Salivary pH testing is used to further determine your overall health. Healthy saliva is neutral or slightly alkaline, which is at the opposite end of the spectrum to acidity. Acid and alkaline are measured on a logarithmic scale of “pH” running from 1, which is very acidic, to 14, which is intensely alkaline, with a pH of 7 being “neutral”. Bacteria that cause gum disease and decay thrive within an acidic oral environment (and the rest of the body as well). Protocols we recommend to change it can render oral biofilm to be less harmful.

OralID

OralID™ is a portable, hand-held light designed to be used as an adjunctive device for oral mucosal screening. OralID emits a blue light into the oral cavity resulting in the green fluorescence of normal, healthy tissue while abnormal tissue will appear dark.

OraVital

OraVital uses the most advanced qPCR technology to identify the exact species and number of bacteria in the sample. The slide is sent to the OraVital microbiology lab to be examined for the types and number of bacteria as well as yeast, parasites and white blood cells, which can indicate the presence of oral infections.

OroTox

The OroTox test helps to determine whether a root canal treated tooth should be removed or retained, even in the absence of negative radiographic evidence. The test allows the patient to maintain their teeth without the risk of spreading bacteria and their toxins in the organism.
